Services

Our services are built around two pillars: Portfolio Integrity & Data Services and Prosecution Support Services—providing verified portfolio data and accurate, timely support throughout the patent lifecycle.

What We Do

Prosecution Support Services

We provide reliable patent portfolio and prosecution support that keeps ownership, data, deadlines, and filings accurate at every stage. From maintaining verified portfolio records to supporting individual patent matters, we help clients manage their intellectual property with confidence, accuracy, and consistency.

Patent Proofreading

An error caught at publication can be fixed with a simple amendment. The same error missed at Notice of Allowance requires a tightly windowed Rule 1.312 amendment. If it survives into the issued patent, correction requires a Certificate of Correction, reissue, or reexamination, each progressively more expensive, slower, and more exposed to enforceability challenge. We treat each of these three checkpoints, Publication, Notice of Allowance, and Issued Patent, as a distinct review with its own methodology, comparing each document against the complete prosecution history and attributing every error to its source, applicant or Office, so it's caught at the cheapest point to fix rather than compounding into the next stage.

Notice of Allowance Review

Once a Notice of Allowance issues, the application is no longer reviewed by the examiner. This is the last practical opportunity to fix an error before it becomes a defect baked into a granted, publicly enforceable patent, correctable afterward only through a Certificate of Correction, reissue, or reexamination. We apply a structured, checklist-driven review to the complete Image File Wrapper the moment an NOA is received: bibliographic, inventor, and priority data; the allowed claim set, outstanding IDS and terminal disclaimer gaps, and Patent Term Adjustment, so your attorneys make the pay-the-issue-fee decision with full visibility into the application's condition.

US Expiration Date Calculation

An incorrect expiration date is never just a bookkeeping error. It can drive a mistimed licensing negotiation, a flawed freedom-to-operate assessment, a missed design-around opportunity, or an enforcement action filed against a patent that has already lapsed. Terminal disclaimers, Patent Term Adjustment corrections, and continuity chains make manual expiration tracking genuinely error-prone, even the USPTO-published PTA figure is itself subject to error. We reconcile every factor, including base statutory term, PTA, Patent Term Extension, terminal disclaimer limitations, and maintenance fee status, against the complete prosecution history, so the date your team relies on is independently defensible.

Assignment Filing, Chain of Title & Notice of Recordation Review

The USPTO does not conduct title searches. It records whatever meets the minimum formal requirements of the recordation rules, which means verifying the accuracy of an ownership chain is entirely the applicant's responsibility. A defective chain can sit unnoticed in the public record for years until it surfaces at the worst possible moment: financing due diligence, an acquisition, or standing to sue. We treat assignment recordation as more than a filing task. Every submission is preceded by an independent chain-of-title review back to the original inventor or applicant, and followed by a Notice of Recordation check confirming the Office's record actually matches what was filed.

US Filing Receipt Review

The filing receipt is the first document the USPTO sends back after filing, and by far the easiest point to catch and fix an error, before it propagates into a publication, a later Office communication, or the issued patent itself. Priority claim errors in particular are a well-documented, recurring USPTO processing issue, even when the underlying Application Data Sheet was correct as filed. We review every filing receipt against the as-filed record as a matter of course, determine whether an error originated with the applicant or the Office, and prepare the correct correction path.
