US Filing Receipt Review

The filing receipt is the first document the USPTO sends back after filing, and by far the easiest point to catch and fix an error, before it propagates into a publication, a later Office communication, or the issued patent itself. Priority claim errors in particular are a well-documented, recurring USPTO processing issue, even when the underlying Application Data Sheet was correct as filed. We review every filing receipt against the as-filed record as a matter of course, determine whether an error originated with the applicant or the Office, and prepare the correct correction path.
